START
the Project

Once you join ClickUp, you’ll see some client tasks already assigned to you! There are some things we’ll need you to tackle as soon as possible so that we can do our part in a timely manner. All the materials you need for these are in the description of each task in the portal.

CLIENT
Tasks

In ClickUp, you should see a task titled “Schedule a Call” to talk strategy, chat about the project, and also answer any questions you have before we get started. This is mainly optional, so if you prefer to not do it, no problem!

Frequently Asked Questions

Anytime you’re feeling unsure about everything, please let us know! This process should be fun and exciting, so it’s our mission to make sure you’re comfortable—not confused. You can either email us, send us a question via ClickUp, or schedule a call to talk over anything.

What if I’m confused or have a question?

If you add any extra design requests like more deliverables or more revisions outside of the package, then the added fees will apply. We’ll always run this fee by you before we proceed. Any fees incurred by our studio policies will also apply. Outside of that, you should prepare for $30-150 in font licenses for branding, website hosting/domain, legal docs!

Should I anticipate any additional costs?

If you need more time to complete a deadline or task, just let us know and we can make it work! However, if you’re anticipating significant delays, let us know so we can discuss potential rescheduling options or work around it.

What if I need more time for the project?

In your ClickUp tasks, we have listed everything that you need to get started! Whether it’s for branding, web, or collateral, we’ll make sure to let you know ahead of time. If you have a question about anything, just message us!

What should I have prepared before we start?

Unfortunately, no! We only work with ONE point person on the project and we find that too many heads in the kitchen result in a messy meal. You can consult with people outside of our collaboration, but we suggest one main decision-maker to keep the process consistent.

Can I have multiple people work on this with me?

Feedback Guidelines

Ask Questions and Understand the “Why”

If you’re not sure about something or don’t get why we made the design decisions we did, just ask! We NEVER create without a reason, so allow us the space to talk it over with you before you request a change.

We would love to hear what’s not working and where you envision us shifting, but try not to give us orders on what to do. Trust is SO important and you hired us for our expertise, so tell us what you’re wanting, and we’ll decide on how to execute.

Be Descriptive, but not
Directorial

Think Big Picture &
Stay On Brief

A big list of details to change doesn’t tell us how to improve the design as a whole and removes autonomy from us as creatives. Try to give bigger picture > minor details. Try to stay on brief and keep your audience and purpose in mind.

Be Honest, but Kindness & Gratitude are Appreciated

Being direct and telling us how you feel is so important, but a “thank you” and kindness goes a long way. Any comments about us as creatives are not welcome—keep it to the designs only!

It can be really deflating when all the comments are negative, and it doesn’t help us as much! Telling us what IS working and what ISN’T will help us move forward in the best way.

Balance the Negative
with the Positive

Organize Your Thoughts & Comments

We know there’s a lot! However, we recommend writing down your feedback and re-reading it before sending it to see if there’s any repeats or conflicting thoughts.
